Our stay at Shepherd Center Rehabilitation has been challenging so far. They warned us that the first two weeks would be tough. We are away from the A.I. duPont Children's Hospital that took such amazing care of Jack. Away from Kip, who stood side by side with me, for 21 days, adding much needed laughter, jokes, unconditional love and support. Jack and I are alone in a sense as it is just the two of us in Atlanta. Due to COVID-19 only one parent can be here with Jack during his rehabilitation. Kip is home with the huge support of Team Jack and taking care of the littles.

Our first night was....scary....we were suddenly all alone and without the comfort of our family close by and the A.I duPont gang.... Over the next week, Jack started getting very nauseous, throwing up and waking in pain every 1/2 hour. It felt so defeating after staying stable enough to be moved from Delaware to Georgia. By the end of the first week, we started to see the light. Jack was still in pain but stopped throwing up and we SLEPT for about 6 hours straight!!!!!

Onward and upward as they say:)
